Founded following the merger of two highly specialised industrial firms, the Setic & Pourtier group designs and manufactures high-tech rotating machinery that produces wires and cables for use in the power and data communications sectors.

At Setic & Pourtier, our CSR approach is based on a pragmatic and committed approach, in line with our industrial know-how and our values of excellence and agility, to help our clients meeting the social and environmental challenges they are facing,
Pourtier was founded, initially developing winding machines for the textile industry. In the early 20th century, Pourtier invented the first-ever machine for insulating flexible cables, followed by machines for insulating telephone cables.
Setic was founded. The firm initially invented a machine for use in the textile industry before going on to specialise in manufacturing machines to produce data transmission cables.
Setic and Pourtier merged, becoming the wire and cable industry leader. The Group capitalised on the firm’s innovations to step up its international development.
Creation of C2S, the firm’s dedicated services division.
